The original version of the Treaty is in English. The Treaty includes rules and agreements between the CARICOM member States. Minister Lackin emphasized the importance of the translation, stating that international treaties signed by Suriname will also be of influence on individual citizens, companies, NGO's or others within the society. In this regard it is of importance that all should know the contents of these agreements.
Henk Alimohamed, Director of the CARICOM translation Institute (CRITI) stated that, knowledge of the contents of the treaty will make it clear to citizens and others in CARICOM States, that they can influence the developments in the region
Ambassador appointed as non-residing Extraordinary Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Suriname in Turkey On 12 March 2013, Mr. Errol Alibux was appointed as the non-residing Extraordinary Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Suriname in Turkey. During the Presidency of Mr. Jules Wijdensbosch, Alibux was assigned as the Minister of Natural Resources of Suriname. |
